I'am the grandson of George J. and Florie Heintzman of Aberdeen SD(later Dent MN.). George (or Jiggs know by his family) was the oldest of 13 brothers and sisters. My mother is Jeanne Heintzman (Harthun). I'am looking for some family history if there is anyone that can help I would appreciate it. Please let me know. I live in Seattle WA. Widow of Piano firm Executive Dies in Toronto

Toronto, Dec 24 - Mrs Clara May Hunter Heintman, widow of George C. Heintzman, former chariman of the Heintzman & Co Ltd., piano manufacturers, died yesterday at her home, 500 Avenue road.
Mrs Heintzman was born in St Thomas and had been a resident of Toronto for 60 years. She was a member of Bloor Street United Church.
Her husband died 22 months ago. Surviving are three sons, G. Bradford Heintzman, president of the Heintzman Co., Howard and George, and a daughter Mrs Ione Gibson, wife of Col. Goodwin Gibson

I have an Uncle who saw Donna Joynt Heintzman in Florida a while back. I guess Donna was my mother's first cousin. I would like to share pictures with her, if you know where she is, please tell her.

My mother's cousin Beverly's son, (Al Woods) has a photo of Donna's Grandmother, Mary Magdelene Niederauer Joynt.
Beverly was the oldest Grandchild. Donna would be one of the youngest. I have a picture of her father Joe visiting us on Cape Cod.

Stephanie,

Bob Heintzman's wife Donna came from Zell I think. She was a nurse for the Aberdeen School District.

Bob's grandfather, Felix, is a brother to my gggrandfather Bernhard Heintzman and my gggrandmother Johanna Heintzman Harty.(My grandpa & grandma Heier were 2nd cousins)

oh by the way, baden is now part of wurttenburg (baden-wurttenburg). they were seperate when my family lived there (they are next to each other).

we had a lorenz that came over from Germany!!! I blieve his wife was deceased when he came over, or it was his fathers wife that was deceased. I know he came over from bohmenkirck, the village in wurttenburg where the heintzmans originated, the church records there go back to the 1700's. before that they were burned in the hundred years war. My dad has a book about that village that has lorentz heintzmans name in for a ship log that lists him leaving germany. If its the same lorenz we are probably related. I sugest you talk to my dad he has an amazing amount of history on our family. both he and I have been to germany. he though has visited our family village, which is between stuttgart and munich. please feel free to give me, or him a call at 1-614-262-0148 (my home #), also my email is rev_jch@yahoo.com or his at 1-937-426-3681.

The name Karl Heintzman does not appear to be part of my family that I am familiar with. The earliest information I have about my family is Lorenz Heintzman who came from Oestringen/ Kronau-Baden, Germany (late 1700's). Lorenz's son, Felix, and his wife Susanna Adler then fled to the area around Odessa, Russia (1815 or so) , and my family stayed in that area (Kleinliebental) until the late 1800's when they began emigrating to the US. Does any of this information connect?

We are probably related someplace!

Mike, I do not know if this is the same person? All I know abot this Felix Heintzman is that he fought in WWII and was stationed in Cal. for a little while. I have pictures of him and my grandmother together there on an army base.

My great-grandmother, THeresia Heintzman Heier was a first cousin to John. Her father was Bernhard.

the father of my grandmother Heier(Wendelin Harty) was also a first cousin to John. Wendelin's mother was Johanna.

Both of my great grandparents homesteaded in the Hosmer area.

There was a Felix Elisabeth Heintzman that lived near Hillsview, SD. THey came to the US in 1893. Their former home was in Kleinliebental, Russia.

The Bernhard Heintzman I am refering to is the father of Martin Bernhard.

Bernhard was married twice. His first wife was a Fix I belive. My great-grandmother, Theresia Heier is a daughter of the first wife. Your family is of the 2nd marriage.

I live in Aberdeen, SD.
My family lived about 1/2 a block north of Art Caroline Kaiser.

I would appreciate any info you could provide on your Heintzman Family.

I have a Brigetta (Bridget) Heintzman who married Kasper Benfit. She was known for her folk remedies. They lived near Hillsview and attended Holly Trinity Catholic Church. I believe her father was Felix.
