My name is Mark Helm. My downline from Pieter is ftr-Michael, ftr-Peter, ftr-Samuel, ftr-Peter, ftr-Samuel, ftr-Frank. There are a lot of Samuel's and Peter's in those generations so it gets a little confusing. I have most of the wives and children of these grandfathers, mostly due to work I received from Harry Chambers. you can reach me directly at jmhelm@yahoo.com.
Mark Helm

Hi, sorry I do not know your name. I told you my direct downline, are you related to Samuel also? I am from his daughter Bethecy Elizabeth Helm. He also had a son Daniel. I do not have much on him, but knows who does. If I remember Peter, Michael,Jacob and Samuel all had several wifes. Who is your downline and what are you missing. If I have that info now, I'll send it to you. If not I'll have to see what my mother has when I go visit in Novemember
Hope to hear from you.
Terrylee

My mother has research this line back to the 1400's I believe. I will be visiting her next month and could try and get the documentation. She is losing her sight and I am trying to get all her stuff... organized on line for her. Our line is: Samuel,ftr-Jacob,ftr-Michael,ftr-Peter. I am looking for information about Samuel's daughter Bethecy Elizabeth Helm as to WHO she married and when.

My grandfather's father Johnny Leonard Helm remarried. My grandfather John Leonard Helm left home at a young age leaving behind a young sister. After leaving home he never saw her again. The Helm family tree in my family never dated beyond Johnny Leonard Helm & Fannie May Malone. If you could help me find my family It would make me so happy and excited. My grandfather is dead now, my dad isn't in great shape, and Ive always wanted to know where my family came from?

Hi, hope you can help me. I am currently researching my Markley branch, and can find very little. My grandfather was Harry Work Markley 7-4-1880 to 1921. Mothers name ? Elizabeth, father ? William. They lived in Phila Pa but family history says they came from Sellersville area. Do you have any history for your Markley side? Any connection?
Thank you

Hello,

Here is the information you requested:

Emilie was born on November 11, 1836. She married Ben on March 20, 1856 and she died on February 20, 1930.

This info came from a manuscript entitled "Emilie" written by my sister, Maureen Helm Green which was published in the Autumn 2008 edition of Kentucky Ancestors - a genealogical quarterly. It's a wonderful story with photos and well worth reading.

Hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Margaret Helm Atkins

I recently bought a unique photo postcard that lists all the students attending Spanish Fort Schools in Baldwin County, Alabama during 1898 that were students of J. M. Helm. The students completed grammar school, high school, music course, art course, and business course.

This card is really unique. I have been unable to find Mr. Helm in the census.

Please contact me if you have an interest in this over 100 year old card.

Kathy@FamilyWeSearch.com

Helm, James Robert

James Robert Helm, son of James W. and Bertha Jones Helm, was born at Jerico Springs, Missouri, on September 26, 1914, and passed away at Kansas City, Missouri on September 29, 1983.

He was married Eula Mae Dillsaver in 1936. They have resided in Kansas City since 1947 when Robert finished his military duty with the U.S. Army. He is survived by his Eula Mae, a son, Curtis Helm of Kansas City, a daughter, Mrs. Carroll Carlton, Shawnee, Kansas, a brother, Elton Helm, Las Vegas, Nevada; a sister, Mrsl Velma Vardeman, Kansas City, and four grandchildren.

Brother Helm has fought a courageous battle for life since a near-fatal heart attach in 1961, in all this, his companion stood by his side to aid in every way possible. The burden of the very recent years has been very heavy. Now he has gone home to be with the Lord, and we have to question as to where he has gone. His consistent and ready testimony to the saving and canctifing grace of God was backed up by a walk with God in the way of holiness.

Funeral services were conducted by the writer, his pastor for more than 36 years at Kansas City on October 1. Burial was in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. - Isham C. Holland, pastor.
