I am looking for information on the parents and brothers/sister of my Great Grandmother Aino Heiman. She was born 1887 in Kangasala, Finland. She married Emil (Kallio) Alto. Her father was Aksel Edvard Mäkelä Heiman father b. 1859 Vesilahti, Finland d. 1935 Merikarvia, Finland. He changed his last name to Heiman or Heman. He went by the name of Ed Heiman. Aino's mother was Amanda Nummelin - born and died in Finland. Children Alli, Airo, Saimi, Urho, Alma, Aino, Samual, Jeheil, Katri. They were all born in Finland between 1880-1895. Aino, Samual, Jeheil and Alma all immigrated to the United States. I know all about their families. I'd like to learn more about her brother's/sister's that stayed in Finland. I think Urho took the last name Varhilla and had 3 children. Alli had 1 son. Saimi had 3 children and took the last name Virta. Airo had 3 children. Aino's brother's sisters that came to America settled in the Iron County, Michigan area. I'm hoping to find out more about Aino's brothers/sisters that stayed in Finland and their descendants and more information about her parents. If any one has any information - I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm Alma's great granddaughter. I have a bunch of information on Alma and her husbands and family. I also found some records about your great grandmother that may help a bit too. Alma was born 12 July 1894. She immigrated here in 1910. She married John Hendrickson in Caspian?, Michigan around 1913. In 1921, John died with two of the children Lila and Oliver from the flu. Alma then married John's brother Toivo in 1922. Alma and Toivo are buried in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Crystal Falls, MI (where I believe your great grandparents are buried too). I have a whole bunch more info if you'd like it, including birthdates and marriages.
