We have finally located more info about our gggrandparents, they arrived in the USA on June 5, 1855 through the Port of New Orleans, on board the ship Auguste which originated in Bremen, Germany. We believe that both were from Prussia. They settled shortly thereafter in Lewis County, Missouri. He served with Company K of the 21st Missouri Volunteer Infantry (Union Army).
They had at least three and possibly four children: Ernest, Lizzie, Julius Theodore & Charles Robert. JT & Charlie lived to adulthood, no idea what happened to Ernest or Lizzie. JT was my gggrandfather.
