Looking for the parents of William Franklin Hempstead

Surnames: Hempstead, Hempstein
My Ggrandmother was Isabell Lydia Hempstead B June 9, 1898 D April 12, 1977. Her father was William Franklin Hempstead B 1865 D 1927. I have heard that his Father was Joseph Hempstead (maybe Hempstein?) and mother Elanore Smith. I don't know if this is correct though. If anyone can help me out, I would really appreciate it.
