In my search for more on Jessie Hemsworth's family, I believe I've come across her mother, Euphemia (or Euphema), who was born about 1813 in Scotland. Jessie also seems to have had a sister Anna (married Alexander McKenzie) and a brother John.
As before, any info linking these nice folks into the Hemsworth tree would be much appreciated.

US census 1870 for Grand Rapids, MI, shows Jessie Hemsworth working as a domestic servant for another family, 18 years old, born in Ontario, and has a mother from Scotland and a father from Ireland. She is living with her brother John, 24 y.o., and her mother Euphemia, 57 y.o. Euphemia was born in Scotland, to Scottish parents.
In 1880, John and Euphemia are in Plainfield, Kent, MI, living with John (and Jessie's) sister Anna McKenzie (Anna's husband is Alexander McKenzie).
In 1881 John and Euphemia are listed in the Canadian census, living in Springfield, Selkirk, Manitoba. By now Euphemia is 67 and John is 35. [Jessie and her husband James Armstrong also lived in Springfield at this time]
