Gerald L. Hencke, 57, of Beaver Dam and Winnebago Park in Fond du Lac, died peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at University Hospital in Madison.
He was born on May 16, 1944, in Fond du Lac, a son of Henry and Anna (Andrew) Hencke. On Aug. 15, 1969, Jerry was united in marriage with Mary Jo Conners at Whitefish Bay, Wis. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo (Conners) Hencke of Beaver Dam; one son, Matthew Hencke of Chicago, Ill.; his mother, Anna Freund of Fond du Lac; his father-in-law, James Conners of Clearwater, Fla.; four brothers and a sister, Ron and Audrey Hencke, Gene and Carol Hencke, Dan and Debbie Hencke, Karen (Hencke) and Gary Blazer, all of Fond du Lac; Mike and Michelle Hencke of Eagle River.; five brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jim and Florence Conners of Mequon, Steve and Terri Conners of Hudson, Patti (Conners) and Joe Unger of Sheboygan, Nora (Conners) and Duane Wyatt of St. Charles, Ill., Mike and Becky Conners of Gainesville, Fla. Preceding him in death were his father, Henry; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Conners; step-father, Ambrose Freund; paternal grandparents, Frederick and Minnie Hencke; maternal grandparents, John and Mary Andrew; aunts; uncles; cousins and close friends.
