On June 19, 1957, there was a natural disaster in the form of huge lightning bolts which struck near Fort Bragg. A list of casualties, both deaths and injuries, has been placed online at http://www.genealogybuff.com/ucd/webbbs_config.pl?read=392 along with a transcription of the news article. A HENDREN is in the list of casualties.
