I am looking for relatives. Here is what I have. John Hendren Born 1710 in North Ireland. Married Margret in Prince William Co. VA 1739. Had 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls. Thier son William was born 1740 and married Letty Taylor in 1764 they had 8 sons. Thier 5th son Taylor married Charlotte and had 9 children. Thier son William married 3 different times 1st was Pruda Yokum 2nd was Pauline Stark and 3rd was Ann Elizabeth Couper. William had 11 children his 2nd son John Taylor married a Polly Ann Dale on 03-16-1859 and had 8 children. Thier 2nd child born 01-16-1867 was William A. Hendren and married Etta E. Rakestraw and had 9 children. Thier Daughter Matta Blanche born 01-11-1905 married a Lyle Stewart in 08-1927. And that is all I have on my family line. I have birth dates and marriage dates for almost all the children, so if you need something in this line just contact me or if you have anymore info from where I leave off I would love to have it.

My G Grandfather, Samuel Hendren was born abt 1806 in Markethill, Armagh. I suspect his father was James, son of John Hendren (Hendron) a farmer from Mullabrack. James was apparently a brother of the Rev Samuel Hendren whose two sons went to Australia.

Any information on this line would be most appreciated.

Charles was married to Anna (Grobe? b abt 1884 in KS) and had 2 known sons John G Hendren and Frank L. Hendren which were raised in the Wichita, KS area. I'm hitting a bit of a road block with no known living relatives available to contact (even potential leads are appreciated).

Looking for information on Matthew Hendren who arrived through Ellis Island on Dec 4, 1921. He was travelling with his grandfather, Thomas Hendren and an uncle, Charles Hendren. They were from Coatbridge, Scotland and travelled from Glasgow, Scotland with a final destination of Highland Park, Michigan.
Young Matthew was about 5 years old upon arrival and first born of parents James and Jane Hendren who stayed behind in Coatbridge.
Grandfather Thomas was joining his daughter, Margaret Coleman and her husband Patrick Coleman in Highland Park, MI.
Does anyone have any ties to these Hendrens? My mother-in-law would be a sister to that young Matthew and is now living in the States and would like to find out more of Matthew's family if possible.

dear all,please please get in touch with me as soon as you can! grandfather thomas hendren was my great-grandfather. his daughter elizabeth was my fathers mother. we knew of the america story but wasnt sure until a few weeks ago when i came upon their details on the ellis island site. when did grandfather thomas come home?,as he died in scotland in 1947! elizabeth hendren had 12 children, my dad charles hendren o'hear being the youngest, only 3 are alive today. time is passing please dont delay. kind regards alison elizabeth mills.

On June 19, 1957, there was a natural disaster in the form of huge lightning bolts which struck near Fort Bragg. A HENDREN is in the list of casualties.

My grandfather, Jesse, and his brother, Ernest,
were born "McLean" in 1883 and 1881 respectively
in No. Wilkesboro. They were raised by their
maternal grandmother (a Hendren), and ended up with
her last name. I am looking for anyone with
information about the parents of Jesse and Ernest
and their connection with the William Hendren Jr.
(1779-1868) clan, most of whom left North Carolina, but 3-5
(out of 18) children: Oliver, James Russell, Stephen,
Solomon, and perhaps a daughter or two, stayed in Wilkes Co.
I would also like to find out about the McLean link, about
which I have no information other than that, apparently,
there was a legal marriage, since the boys were originally
listed as "McLeans" and only afterwards ended up as
"Hendrens."

Who was Downing Howell Hendren?

New to this bit of research.
My uncle provided me with some information he had that states Downing Howell Hendren (b. 1754, d. 1810 - Norfolk VA) was the son of John Hendren (b. 1735, d. 1822, VA) and Mildred Bryant (b. 1734, d.? VA).
However, I've been finding information that indicates Downing Howell Hendren was the BROTHER of the aforementioned John Hendren and the son of William Esial Hendren (b. 1712 N. Ireland, d. 1768 VA) and Annorah Howell (b. 1719 N. Ireland, d. 1765 VA).
Any insight?

Help! Ideas, Tips, Where do I look now?????

I am trying to find my g grandmother. I have found her marriage record which states her name as Ellen Hendrin from Moberly, MO in 1884, spouse is Charles H. Brothers from St. Louis. I have a death certificate on my grandfather, her son, which lists her name as Hendren, but she was also deceased at the time this info was given and I don't know who gave it. I know her parents were from Ireland. This is all I have. I cannot find her on a census as Hendrin or various spellings, or as Brothers. I cannot find a death certificate on her, even though I know where she died, Benton, MO approx. 1929. I have checked Ancestry records and cannot find any info there. Due to a fire, there are no family Bibles, records, etc. I don't know where else to look. Does anyone have any ideas for me? I appreciate any tips!

Henrietta Ann "Henryanne", "Hank" Hendren went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2003, after a long illness. Henryanne was born in Belen, NM on December 16, 1924, and lived most of her life in Belen. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Russell; her daughter, Peggy and her husband, Jack Ostrom of Albuquerque, NM; her sons, Douglas and his wife, Judy of Belen; Scott of Lansvowne, VI; and Vaughn and his wife Roxy, of Belen; her 13 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating Henryanne's life will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church of Belen. Ambrose Enzer Hendren from NC

Hi all, I am looking for the parents of A.E. Hendren of Wilkes, NC. My great grandparents were Marcus Leander Gilreath and Thenia Lavenia (Venie) Hendren. Venie's father was Ambrose Enzer (A. E.) Hendren (per his family Bible) and was born in 1835. His wife was Charlotte Matilda (also a Hendren??). I have seen some family trees with Stephen Hendren (one of a set of twins) as his father. However, if anyone has a definitive source for this, please let me know. Those Hendrens were multiplying like crazy! so it's hard to tell which parents belong to which kids.

James Sprinkles was at that time his father-in-law. James Hendren was given ten years and Mary Elizabeth had died under suspicious circumstances just one month prior to James Sprinkles murder.
