Hi, first time poster long time lurker.
Looking for information on my Father's Mother's side of the family and have hit the proverbial brick wall.
Grandmother Olen Ray Hendricks b 1886 Indiana d 1945 Ca
Great Grandfather James Oscar Hendricks b 1852 Indiana d 1933 Washington
GG Grandfather Peter (?) b 1809 KY d ? Census shows Peter in Indiana 1840-1870 and then nothing else.
This is where I am stuck.
Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.
I spoke to a cousin (one that I haven't spoken to in 40 years, ain't this fun) who said that her father, my uncle used to tell tales of how the Hendricks were from New York and one of the ten richest Jewish families there. This is the first I had ever heard that tale.
