We are looking for live Hendrix males that descend thru this line. The Hendrix family that was in Bath Co., KY who spread all over into Missouri and Kansas, Indiana etc.

We are genealogically stuck. Dead in the water stuck. We have our line sourced thru Theophilus and Nancy Hendrix. Family lore says that their mother was Yourath Hendrix daughter of Abraham Hendrix and Mary Goodwin. That she had the 3 kids and they were born out of wedlock. Some say Theophilus is the son of another of Abrahams sons.

However, we have a live male who took the DNA test and it doesn't compare to any of the known Hendrix lines that are participating in the DNA project at http://www.familytreedna.com/public/hendricks/default.aspx?s...

The common ancestor that Mike and I share he is the last male except for his sons. The rest have died or were females who then carried on other family lines. So, we are going back another generation to trace and look for the male lines there.

I've been tracing Garrett Hendrix who married Nancy Naylor's lines. Their son George WIlliam Hendrix married Mary Frances Kerns and there are males thru them.

They also had sons John W. Hendrix, Thomas Hendrix and Esley Hendrix who married Paulina Fulk.

If anyone knows of the ancestry and has proof of who Theophilus belongs too or any of his descendants my cousin Mike and I are very interested. This is a puzzle for us.
