He had an Uncle Mike that served as a sherrif in that distrcit. His father was named Michael or Mickel/Russian decendance. Elmer and Grace Henne of Reading, Pa. area

I have in my possession a very old picture in a frame of Elmer and Grace Henne of Berks County, Penna. On the back it has their names and the date of their marriage, 1907, also behind the photo was tucked a newspaper clipping of 3 little girls and the story with the clipping is about a birthday party held for the daughter of Elmer and Grace Henne, Edith, they are about 3 or 4 years of age, I would say. Can you tell me if you are directly related or are they in your family line?
The Henne name is not in my family line, This framed wedding photo was tossed in a dumpster where my son works and he retrieved it and gave to me to see if I can find where it belongs and certainly not in the dumpster. These folks were from Reading, Penna. area. I have located his SS information, he was born November 4, 1883 and died January 1971. He registered for WW1 AND WWII. They say he was born in Wymossing, Pa.

Hermann Henne's residence: 613 E. 11th St., he will be age 23 at next birthday, he is a machinist b. in NYC to Fred Henne and Christina (no maiden name given). It is his first marriage.

Lizzie Kennel is the dau of Daniel Kennel and Rosa Hesso, it is her first marriage, she will be age 24 at her nest birthday and she was b. in NYC. Her address is 612 E. 11th St.

I am NOT related to these people, and don't have any further information on them.

In 1870 they owned a home in Hoboken, Hudson, NJ, but he was gone by 1880 when they had returned to New York City. Children included Charles (b. 1859), Louisa (b. 1863), Herman (b. 1865), George (b. 1867), Ida (b. 1869), and William (b. 1871). Charles married Harriett ROBINS (1860 - 1921) and raised a family in Tottenville, Richmond, NY

It shows him as an Imagrant yet her as being born in NY. They had several children, Julia, Adolph Jr., a Anna as daughter, Helen, Clara, and William. Looking for any info on great grandmother Dorothea Henne. She was born in Germany, She first married a "Deits" and had 3 children: Peter Deits, George Deits and Margaret Deits.
She then married Johann Mathge and they had 8 children: Rosalina, Julia Ann, Caroline, Kathrine, Fredrick, Mary, Philamina, Cecelia Mathge. Rosalina Mathge married Christian Ornold and Julia married James Swager and married a second time to Charles Gruber.

Saw my 87 mom tonight. She said that when she was a young teenager, the family went north of Dayton to visit with the Henne Family (It could have been Tipp City, but she's really not sure. It was so long ago.) Her mother (nee Anna Marie Henn) said that these Henne people were cousins who didn't drop the extra "e".

The implication is my g-grandfather Joseph Henn b.1837 of Baden-W may have had a blood-brother who spelled his name Henne.

Any other Henne's out there to corroborate this story?

William Edward Henne, 72, died Friday morning in a local hospital.
A native of Iuka, IL, he had resided in Pensacola the last 44 years. He was a member of the St. Marks Methodist Church and the Men's Bible Class, a member of NARCE, the Woodmen of the World and a charter member of the Friendship Club of the St. Marks Methodist Church. He was a Veteran of WW I and a retired Civil Service employee as NAS.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Mary Hill Henne of Pensacola; two sons, Rev. Edward Dell Henne of Wilmer, AL; and Alfred Marlow Henne of Panama City, FL; a brother Thomas Henne of Benton, IL; a sister Mrs. Viola (Viola Daisy Henne) Behnke of Flora, IL, step-mother Mrs. Nina Henne of Iuka, IL and a half-sister, Mrs. Mildred (Henne) Buchanan also of Iuka; and four grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in the Bayview Memorial Park Cemetary.

Herbert L. Henne was born September 17, 1900, the son of Veldora (Nancy Valdora) White and Edward (Edward Henry) Henne. He passed into the great beyond at his home on August 8, 1958, at the age of 57 years, 10 months and 21 days. He was united in marriage to Lola Beard on February 9, 1930. To this union was born one son, Owen Lee. On June 8, 1958 he was baptised into the Church of Christ, at Flora, Il. "Herb", as he was well known, was a loving husband and father, a good neighbor and a friend to all who knew him. He leaves to morn his passing his wife, Lola, a son, Owen Lee, a sister, Viola (Viola Daisy Henne) Behnke of Flora, a brother, Tom of Benton, a brother Bill (William Edward) of Pensacola, FL, a half-sister, Mildred (Henne) Buchanan of Iuka, and three nephews and one niece. A host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from the Bell Church, 2 p.m. Sunday, August 10. Internment in Bell Cemetary.

I am looking for information on Edward Henry Henne born 6/14/1868 died 11/18/1937. Edward resided most of his life in Marion County, IL. He was married to Nancy Valdora White on 3/13/1895.

My gggrandfather is a man by the name of Joseph Henne born 1870 died 1957 married a lady by the name of margaret or mary Katetsky (there's some controversy in my family if her name was mary or margaret).
