Henes in Milwaukee

Bettie Henes was the daughter of Bertha Meyers and Charles Henes of Colburg, Germany.

Bettie was born in Wisconsin about 1883. She died in Milwaukee in 1972. She married Peter Andrew Grogan, who was born in Stanley, WI in 1885 and died in Milwaukee in 1954.

For a time, Bertha Henes lived with Bettie and Peter while she was a widow.

They had three daughters: Dorothy (Howard August Heun), Lucille Catherine, and Janet May.

Looking for other Henne that are from New Jersey. Family lore is that they came from Belgium/ Germany area. Heinrich was married to a Magdalena Winnes in Newark, New Jersey some time around 1850. I would like to complete a family history book for my husband's birthday.
