I started my research, oh so long ago, mainly to know more about "my roots". I did not start at my parents (I am 28), I started with my mothers parents (Riggs (Nfld) and Miller (NS)) As my knowledge grew so did my purpose, which slowly changed to recording the early families of Hants County, particularly those from the 84th Regiment of Foot (2nd) Battalion, those of German descent and those who married one of my Miller. In doing this I needed help from others doing the other early surnames, so it is not all my information, and I like to "double-check" it whenever I can. So with that in mind......
