Hi Laura,

I have been working on the Hennigar line since before your birthdate and have collected extensive files during that time but still have many, many missing links.

Thanks for your reply. I hope that I will be able to be of some help to you. I do have the information that I think you are looking for but it is really too long to send over the net. It runs to about 300 pages and covers the descendents of Christian and Mary Ann ( Cannon) Hennigar. Please contact me at hennyhaus@rogers.com for info.

Now as for your last E mail:

Your item 1.

I still have a little confusion over George Hennigar, the eldest son of John Ambrose and Mary McLearn as I have him married to Mary Matilda Bigert (1826-1889) on March 25 1856 with 9 Children and then to Hannah Miller (1833-1898) on Jan 27 1853 with 2 children. I have been trying to sort this out for some time now. It maybe that there are two Georges involved here.

Your item two

George Alex was not a son of John Ambrose but one of his older brother George who married Ruth Anthony. They had 11 children. George Alex married married Hannah Miller (1832-1912) on January 27, 1853. Hannah's parents were George Frederick Miller (9 Aug.1796 - 3 Dec.1878) and Elizabeth Rines (5 Apr.1800-1890) and they had 11 children, Hannah was the 10th child in the family. Joseph Miller was the second born to George and Elizabeth and he was married to Alice Maria Hennigar on Jan 9 1851 and they had a family of 14. The Millers and Hennigars were very busy in those days.

I believe that when we get this all sorted out we will find that we are related. Would you send me your line back to George and Margaret Kuhn as I also have them in my files and their connections through the years to the Hennigars. I think there is close to insest at some times as I look back, just kidding, but there have been cousins marrying cousin in any case. Upper Kennetcook was and is a small village.

I have been trying for years to make the jump over to Germany for Christian but so far have not been able to make a varifiyable connection. The birth dates you gave me however is new information. Thank you.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Carl of Kitchener, Ontario.
