Hello Carl
I started my research, oh so long ago, mainly to know more about "my roots". I did not start at my parents (I am 28), I started with my mothers parents (Riggs (Nfld) and Miller (NS)) As my knowledge grew so did my purpose, which slowly changed to recording the early families of Hants County, particularly those from the 84th Regiment of Foot (2nd) Battalion, those of German descent and those who married one of my Miller. In doing this I needed help from others doing the other early surnames - such as Rhines, Mosher, Densmore, Parr, Harvie, Gill, White, Ettinger, etc so it is not all my information, and I like to "double-check" it whenever I can. So with that in mind......
Almost all of my Hennigars came from Christian Hennigar (B:January 26, 1755 in Germany) and Mary Ann Canon (B:1768 in Ireland). I have 10 children, two marrrying into MillerSophia Helen and Catherine (Kitty) Hennigar. Most of the Hennigar info came from/was collected from internet and other contacts.
For John Ambroses' children I have 2 Georges
1. George, no DOB, married to Matilda (Hanna) Miller 1833-1898, they married on January 27, 1853 in Rawdon, Matilda/Hannah is the d/o George Miller and Catherine (Kitty) Hennigar (they also have another child named Ambrose, hes the only Ambrose Miller {smile} and a Christian Hennigar)
2. George Alex, B: Dec 25, 1825 D: April 3, 1901. He married Hannah Miller on January 23, 1853 in Maitland, B: abt 1833, d/o George Frederick Miller and Elizabeth Rines. George and Elizabeth have another son - the Joseph who married Alice Maria Hennigar.
I wonder if these 2 Georges are the same, and the 2 Hannahs are cousins (Actually I believe George Frederick and Georges (the one married to "kitty") father were brothers. There seems to be an awful lot of "close" connections. Just a thought. Same with Your Alice Maria - Perhaps the 1st is the birthdate, the 2nd one is the Bap and the 3rd one is a different Alice Maria (or perhaps a late marriage - 1883)
My link is through Johan Georg Mueller (B: abt 1730 in Germany), married Unknown and had a son Johan Georg Mueller (B: 1760 in Lancaster PA) . Later to be known as George Miller, served in Rev War, and came to NS in abt Nov 1776, and married to Margaret Elizabeth Kuhn, d/o Christian Kuhn and Magdalena Haas. They had 10 kids. One son Henry married Margaret Gill, I am descended from them.
Cheers
Laura
