Hi My name is Anastasia Hennigar and my family is from Germoney but lived in Nova Scotia for a 100 years my late grandfather was born there.. I am currenty living in Edmonton AB.. 19 years old. My older brother shawn who is also a Hennigar is 27. I have 2 cossins who also live here in the city 2 annties one disest 1 unkil that are also Hennigars. Hi there, can you tell me your great grandfathers name as I am researhing my ancestors and the story goes three brothers came from Germany and settled in NS and than one went to New Brunswick. I am trying to prove it as I can only find info on Tobias Hennigar and not the brothers.

I have just found out that I might have Hennigar relatives in New Brunswick. Trying to find out the name of the first Hennigar who immigrated to New Brunswick around between 1801 and 1850.

My father care from Campbelton, New Brunswick and was born in 1929. I believe he had about 13 siblings and perhaps a number of half-siblings. I believe there is still quite a clan back there. Would love to get back there and visit some day.

Hi..i'm a granddaughter of Lawrence Hennigar that was born in Latties Brook Nova Scotia. He just passed away and i'm intrested in finding out more of my families history. I know that my grandpa's parents names were Chris (not sure if it is Christopher)and Gladys (nee Taylor) Hennigar. I'm not really sure if you can help me but it is worth a try

My g-grandfather, William Henry Fairn, and his younger brother, James Hennigar Fairn, were orphaned in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, in the 1850s. Their parents, Francis Fairn of Annapolis Co., Nova Scotia, and Frances Sayre Chapman, birthplace unknown, were married about 1847.

After their parents died, the two boys were brought to Annapolis Co. and raised separately by Fairn relatives. In 1874, James married Annie Ryan of Digby Co., NS. James and Annie lived in Hebron, Yarmouth Co., NS. James died accidentally in 1876 while working for the Western Counties Railway.

James and Annie had two children, a girl named Alma born in 1875 and a boy whose first name I don't know born early in 1877, a few months after his father's death.

According to my grandfather, Annie took the two children to Saint John, NB, and eventually gave them up to be raised by others. My grandfather said the boy was raised by "Pastor Hennigar", but he did not know what had become of Alma.

I am looking for information concerning a Pastor Hennigar in Saint John in the last part of the 19th century.

I don't know how "Hennigar" came to be James Fairn's middle name. I know of no one else with that name in the Fairn family.

I am looking for information on Daniel and Nathaniel Hennigar. I belive Nathaniel was born in Illinois. He married a woman from Canada named Phoebe Conger. They had a daughter named Caroline who married a George King, also from Canada. They first moved to Iowa then here to Washington State. Any information would be helpful. I haven't had much luck.

My husband's grandmother was Valeria (Violet) Hennigar who married Charles Truman Earl in 1894 in Floyd County, Iowa. Valeria's father was Allen Hennigar and her grandfather was Arthur Hennigar. Valeria had a brother Lorien Hennigar who lived in Williston, North Dakota. He and his wife Ada visited my husband's parents Harold and Mae Walker Earl in Wilmot, South Dakota in 1939. Obituary of Songster Hennigar as it appeared in the Halifax Chronicle Hearld - 1955

Songster Hennigar, White Rock, passed away at the Eastern Kings Memorial Hospital, Wolfville, Tuesday evening. Born 80 years ago he was the son of James and Cecilia Rafuse Hennigar, Chester Basin, Nova Scotia. He attended school here, later working in Port Williams before moving to White Rock where he made his homes since 1897. In February 1902 he married Effie MacInnis. Mr. Hennigar was a member of the Baptist Church and active in church and community work.

Surviving besides his wife is one son Aubrey at home; four brothers, Sankie, Hortonville;Norris, Kentville; Frank, Newton, Mass; Edward, Woflville; three sisters May (Mrs. Fred Marshall) Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Frances (Mrs. Charles Dixon) Newton, Mass; Jennie (Mrs. Stephen Grant) Kittery, Maine.

The remains were taken to the White Rock Bapitst Church for funeral services on Sunday afternoon at 3 pm conducted by Lic. George Hillis. Burial was the family lot Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville.
