Hi, my father is a Hennigh his name is David and we all live in and around Seymour, Missouri. I recently did a family tree starting with my grandparents Edward Earl and Helen Louise (Wilkins) Hennigh and there are around 115 of us (counting inlaws and outlaws). There were 10 children originally: Russell, Peggy, Walton Grant "Dub", Lyle, David(my dad), Dale, Sherron, Connie, James, Rodney. My grandpa died in 1976 and I have lost several uncles and 1 aunt over the years, my grandmother is still living. My grandparents were married in Modesto, California. I have family in Kansas also and family around Independence, MO. We have a paper on the Hennigh's and it says that 13 brothers came over from Berlin, Germany. Fredrick Hennigh was an officer and surgeon serving on General George Washington's staff. Apparently there are also Hennigh's in Canada. It also mentions a Margret Peace Hennigh ( She had a son named Samuel )and she is buried in the Lewisberg, Kansas Cemetary. My great-grandparents name's were Walton and Ethel (Terrill) Hennigh. The pronunciation is (Hay-Knee) and the original name before they came to america was "Von Hennigh Housen".
