There must be two...my father's uncle traced
an Adam Henning, Hessian.. served with Cornwallis.Camped in Shallowford area,
Lewisville, N.C..Story says he deserts, settled in Forbush area. He had eleven children. Boys/Girls #? He is buried there
in the Forbush area, with his wife..can't
remember her name. The gravesites/yard was
found by a boy scout troup cleaning. I think
they actually tried to move it or something,
until it was found as an "historic landmark".
The article was in the Winston-Salem Journal,
probably about 1980, give or take five years
either way. Sorry, best I can remember. My dad's uncle did alot of research on the line. I have been trying to get in touch with his son to find out what happened to his work since he has passed away. If you think any relation to your Adam..let you know what I find.
