Thankyou Toni for your message. My grandfather, William E. Henninger was born in Shamokin in 1900. He was born out of wedlock. His father, who also was William Henninger had gotten two women in trouble at the same time. He did not marry my great-grandmother who was Emma Synder. However, my great grandfather's father did support my grandfather. His name was Monroe Henninger and his wife was Susan Ebright. They also lived in Shamokin and Monroe owned a bakery on Second Street, off of Spruce Street. I do know that my grandfather's father died in 1918 in the flu epidemic. He did marry the other women but do not have her name. My grandfather did say he had a half-sister but I do not remember her name. She lived for a while in Shamokin and then married and moved to another town up in Pennsylvania. If you can tie anything together with this information, it would be greatly appreciated.
