None of your Henninger's fit into my tree. :) I'm searching for George Henninger b, 4-9-37, s/o William Henninger b, 10-20-1893 and Veronica Pauline Bednar, b 1904. They lived at 1451 W. Montgomery Street. William Henninger built that house. He grew up in 1516 W Montgomery street. Mt grandfather is pretty sick and is looking for more information on this William Henninger, his Father. Always a pleasure to connect with a fellow "Shamokin Henninger Ancester". My G-Grandfather was Monroe who was a brother of your ancester - so we would be cousins. All of my information is on my old computer which is not currently connected but will be in the next week or so - or as soon as I can find a location to set everything up. I have very old photos of the bakery when it was a grocery store. Do you have copies of these photos? If so, I would like to identify some of the men in the photo which are unknown at this point. I know my g-grandfather helped out at the bakery. From what I've been told a lot of the family were always working around the bakery helping out.

I'll get back to you when I get my computer set up.

I am looking to find out if the William Henry Heninger from penn..What was his birth date i have narrowed my grgr grandfather to William henry but the dates ihave about his supposidly parents the dates don't go..My great grandfather was Alva Wesley B 1892 oct 31 his father is burried in anstadt cem in Ill..but there are several dates for him where there brothers born and they named them the same name?? Does Anyone kknow about the william henry in penn..His birthdate would make him able to have a child even though he would have been in his teens..thanks for the help..

His body was shipped back to NY and he is buried at Fountain Cemetery on Staten Island.

We would like to replace his grave marker with a WW1 gov't marker, but cannot find his service record. Need unit, regiment, etc.

These documents were researched and located by Paul Henninger. Paul sent them to me and I scanned and optimized them. These are .jpg files which you can download and use in your family history. I recently obtained the death certificate of my great grandfather Edwin Henninger b. 1870. My hope was to learn his father's name. That has proven difficult because the name is written Jos Henning. I assume the Jos is Joseph although there are certainly other possibilities. As for the surname being written Henning perhaps the coroner abbreviated that name too. Edwin's mother was Amanda Arnold and evidence points to Edwin being an illegitimate child. I am hoping someone out there has some information on this family that they could share. The family was in the area of Lower Saucon Twp., Northampton Co., PA and Springfield Twp., Buck's Co., PA, or perhaps even Coopersburg, Lehigh Co. PA around 1870. This is in an area where all 3 of these county borders meet.

My step-father's name was Albert Dean Henninger but reversed his name to Dean Albert Henninger. He is grandson or greatgrandson of one of the brothers who settled Henninger Flats in California. One of these men married an indian from from the San Gabriel Mission late 1700's or early 1800's. Dean's siblings were/are David Henninger deceased, Louise Henninger Martinez deceased, and Billie Henninger Jeffredo living in San Gabriel. I am trying to locate my great grandmothers parents. My great grandmother was Myrtle A. Henninger (first Married George Humbertson & then Wm. Staub) She was born in 1891 in the town of Sharpsburg, PA (North of Pittsburgh).(d. 1986/Zelionople) I know very little aboout her otherwise. I know she has resided in Etna, Zelionople, Shaler and Sharpsburg PA. (I have found her name also listed as Henniger)

She had 3 children: Ralph (Rudy) Humbertson; An unknown daughter who ran away to NYC (As family legend has it) and my grandmother Iniss.

I have not confirmed this information; however, it seems that Iniss was born in Blue Island, IL. (1914) so I question that maybe there is some sort of attachment ot the IL Henninger's. Maybe Myrtle returned to have my grandma there? However, I have always known them to be in here in the Pittsburgh area. So I am cautiosly presuming they could also be from the PA roots; Of course, there is the Ohio roots too--as that is not far from southwestern PA. Who knows? LOL. Hence the reason I ask for help. thanks!

Adam Henninger (1790~1841)

My Henninger line arrived in America a little later than the majority here, but I am hopeful in finding a connection or two.

Adam was born in Bavaria and died there, in Tauberbishofsehim. His wife was Magaretha Mittnacht and they had 9 sons and 2 daughters. Unfortunately, I can only account for 6 sons and the 2 daughters at this time.

One son, Louis Ludwig (Apr 1825 to abt 1906) was first to immigrate to America in about 1846. He married Nancy Noe (born in Indiana abt 1843), and had 14 children.

Margaretha and 7 children came to America aboard the ship Gertrude, arriving at New York in July 1850. From there, they went to Buffalo, Erie County, NY and are recorded in the August 1850 census.

The children that accompanied her from Germany were:

I am looking for any information for the Henninger family found from 1870 to 1920 in Wayne Twp., Clinton Co., PA. Specifically looking for Eli and Isabella's parents, and Isabella's maiden name.

The family is Eli Henninger born 1845 in PA, Isabella (nee?) (also shown as Isabel) born 1847 in PA and died 1920. Their children Catherine (also shown as Anna) 1866, Washington 1868, Minnie 1869, Joseph L. 1872, Sarah L. (also shown as Laura in later records) 1872, William A. 1875, Samuel M. 1878, Howard E. 1879, and Harrison 1888.

My G-G-Grandmorther is Sarah L. - Laura Henninger married Harry Park Shank. She died in 1912. In her obit it was stated that her parents lived in McElhattan.

I am trying to locate my grandmothers (Iniss Humbertson Philips) grandparents.

My great grandmother was Myrtle A. Henninger (first Married George Humbertson & then Wm. I further know that my great grandfather (George Humbertson) died and left my g. grandma (Myrtle Henninger Humbertson) a widow at a young age, with 3 children; Hence the reason for her second husband Wm. STaub. Together, they had no children.

Finally, my grandmother married Robert Melvin Philips of southwestern PA. They became proud parents of Robert Jr. (my dad) MY grandpa owned the Isalys in West View.

I am hoping maybe one if these names/locations will ring a bell with any of you...

Henry and Marie Henninger of New York

My great aunt and uncle are Marie and Henry Henninger (Aunt Marie and Uncle Henny). I don't know much about this part of my family but would like to. I know my uncle Henny had a sister Anna Barbara Henninger (my paternal grandmother born 1906 died 1983) who married Henry Frank Foster (my paternal grandfather born 1902 died 1963).
Aunt Marie and Uncle Henny had one son that I remember...Calvin. They lived in Ossing (sp) New York and the Hudson River ran behind their house. I don't remember when uncle Henny died but Aunt Marie died in the early 70's.
I know this isn't much to go by but if more family history is needed (names of my parents, aunts and uncles) I can provide them.
I would just like to fnd out more about my grandmother's heritage.

bakery befor he went to work at the M&M bakery which was owned by his sister Blanche Martin.They had many brothers and sisters by they all had passed away and I don't know when. I do know that their mother Lena(weikel) Heninger had died at an early age and my father Wayne, and hi s sisters Vivian and Ruth where raises in an orphanage in the Philadelphia area, although they were all born in the Shamokin-Gowen City area/ Can anyone hepl me find sibilings? My g-grandfather is Charles A. Henninger, Sr. He died, I believe, in 1983. I think that his parents were William Henninger and Annie Mae Seddon, but I have no real confirmation of this. Charles was a coal miner for a time, as was his father, and as a result lived in coal country in Pennsylvania. He ended up in Mahanoy City.

I would greatly appreciate any information on this Henninger connection (and if possible, the Seddon one as well).

It is my understanding that there was a bit of controversy regarding the Henninger's in Shamokin, PA. My grandfather was Henry Henninger. His children were Emmerson, Howard, Kenny, Roland, Richard, Donald, Shirley Jean, Hazel, Catherine and Dotty Henninger. He died approximately 1941 at an early age. The story that I heard was that there was a family with money and a few illegtimate children that were never recognized. My family relocated to Baltimore shortly after the death of my grandfather.
