Hennings listed in navagation book

Does anyone have information on the following: Joseph Morris Hennings, son of Ruben or Peter Hennings, son of Philip Hennings? These names appear on the inside cover of a navagation book belonging to my husband's family (they've had the book for many years). The book is leather bound and was published originally in 1801 in Salem, the last chart is dated 1812 in the book so the above Hennings probably owned the book sometime between 1812 and 1850 when I think this book was in the possession of our family.

Thank you. Frances Johnson cjohnson284@comcast.net

Ivers and Tierney family in Ancestry.com lists all info on him, Jim Tierney being his direct descendant, too. Jim sent me the info that, in 1911 Christian visited his relatives in Germany. He traveled with his son, Hans' father-in-law, Andreas Hadenfield. Hans was Jim's gr grandfather. Andreas was worried about Christian dying over there since he was very ill at the time and did died a couple of months after they returned. His father was Henning Hennings, mother Anna Margreta Glusing, siblings: Henry H , Anna Marie, John Peter, Peter Chris, Justus Albert, Amanda D., Hans Peter, Vern Bernard, Amanda Irene, Jesse, Water H., Reinhold P. . Feel free to check out my site which has gleaned from the Tieney's, that is, Ally's Public Ged for the dates, etc. I am the ggranddaughter of Christian's brother, Hans. They came from Albersdorf, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Reportedly,an ancester was the Burgermeister (Mayor) of Kiel, Germany.

You know, I have a grandma named Lillian Amanda Hennings, whose father, Hans Heinrich Hennings came over from Schleshwig-Holstein Germany with his brother, Cristian. The name combination leads me to believe that we may be able to make a connection. Hans settled in Clinton,Iowa and migrated to LaMoure, ND where he had a large farm, cattle and grain silo. Feel free to check out my site, Ally's Public Ged to compare details.

His name was Detlef Hennings and he immigrated to the US (Illinois) after WWI. He served in the German army during WWI. He died from a farming accident at about age 24. I believe he came from central/northern Germany. I would appreciate any info. Thanks

Charles & Dency Hennings are my great, great, great grandparents, with their son Charles being my great, great grandfather. Charles (the younger) was a millwright & engineer who married Selina Oldham in 1857 and they went on to have several children - Henry, John, Selina (died an infant), Walter, Albert, William, Thomas, Charles, Allen & Wilfred, my great grandfather. I believe their was another son Thomas who died as a baby (between William & Thomas) but have yet to confirm this. Charles and Selina moved to Ipswich in the mid 1870’s. Charles died in 1900 and Selina c1929.

She was born on Sept. 14, 1842 in Sulze, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany to Wilhelm Christoph Gustav Hennings and mother, Anna Margaretha Maria Meier Hennings. Wilhelm and family came to America in 1854 and to Iowa in 1864. He was married to Marie Dorothea Schultz in 1851 in Germany. Does anyone know if the mother Anna Hennings died in Germany? Who did Johanna Hennings marry? And when and where? Germany or U.S.? I have information on Wilhelm and Marie's other children if someone is interested. Thanks.

Re: Hennings of Bolton Lancashire

A decendent of my husbands family, Cecilia Maria Theresa Lawrenson (ne Meroni/Merone b. 7.4.1805) married Charles Hennings, (born 1804, Galway son of Robert Hennings on 5.10.1867. He died 31st May, 1869 aged 64 at Birkdae Common, Birkdale. Cecilia Hennings died 10.5.1892 at 32 Alma Road, Birkdale. I was interested in Charles Hennings and so got his will and followed the family through the censuses. How he came to meet Cecilia Lawrenson (ne Merone) is a mystery. She was the daughter of a very skilled and gifted Guilder/Barometer maker Guiseppe Antonio Meroni b. 1771 who came over from Como Italy in about 1794 and had various shops in the Centre of Manchester selling prints/engravings, etc..
As you will know Charles Hennings was a Miillwright/engineer /ironfounder and the company was called Hennings & Entwistle, Atlas Mill, Great Lever, and was firstly married to Dency Wolliscroft born 1803 Staffordshire. I would love to know more about this family - perhaps you can help? It would be good to know more. Barbara Griffin.

August married Altja Jelderks in February 20, 1895. I would like to speak with any descendants of Henry or August.

Margaret was my grandmother born September 24, 1897, and died January 9, 1977. I was told that August had a brother Henry, and after their falling out Henry dropped the "S" from the Hennings.
