I have recently posted my family tree on Rootsweb. My paternal grandmother's ancestors were Hennings (or Hennigs) from Volhynia. The Hennings families originally settled in Manitoba, then moved on to Saskatchewan, and then? Please check out my tree at this address: <http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=MyTijo&I11.x=3...; Just highlight, copy and paste, since I can't figure out how to make it an automatic link. Email me with questions or information; I would really enjoy hearing from you. Thank you, Kae Rempel-Davis

Johanna Hennings

I am looking for any information on Johanna Caroline Louise Hennings. She was born on Sept. 14, 1842 in Sulze, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany to Wilhelm Christoph Gustav Hennings and mother, Anna Margaretha Maria Meier Hennings. Wilhelm and family came to America in 1854 and to Iowa in 1864. He was married to Marie Dorothea Schultz in 1851 in Germany. Does anyone know if the mother Anna Hennings died in Germany? Who did Johanna Hennings marry? And when and where? Germany or U.S.? I have information on Wilhelm and Marie's other children if someone is interested. Thanks.

Henry Hennings was my Great Grandfather. He and his wife are buried in the Marietta, MN Cemetary along with other relatives. Henry was born in Eddelak, Germany where the Elbe River and Atlantic Ocean meet. He came to states when he was 23 years old and went to Odgen, IA. He married and moved to the Revillo, SD area. He had a large family, my grandmother Lillian Amanda (Hennings) Jibben was one of his children. I would love to learn more about the family. I do know his nickname was "baby hitler" cause he was tough as nails they say.

HENNINGS WILLIAM circa 1850-1900 listed as an entertainer

Hi, researching my grandparents, grandmothers maiden name appears to be (from the wedding certificate of 3 april 1910) Mazey Evelyn Hennings. Her date of birth is alleged to be 26 december 1886, her father is listed as 'William Hennings - deceased - entertainer'. There is no mention of Mazey or William on the 1901 and 1891 censuses. There is a family rumour that William married a Spanish lady. Can anyone shed any light on this or point me in the right direction to take? The 1910 wedding took place in Paddington London and her husband, one Willian Thomas Herbert Hooper resided in London as did his ancesters.
Any clues, no matter how small or insignificant they may appear would be well appreciated. My hotmail account is ssssh48@hotmail.com
Thanks
(John James) Allen Hindmarsh

HENNINGS FAMILY

This is my HENNINGS family, I need my Ggrandfather's brothers and sisters names, and how many are in his family?? He is Christian "Christ" HENNINGS, b. July 9, 1848 in Germany, d. Oct. 13, 1911 in Denison, Iowa. Buried in Charter Oak, Iowa, m. Maria "Mary" Anna (REESE) HENNINGS, March 13, 1877 in Clinton, Iowa. They had 12 children, I have all 12 with dates and marriages. After Christian died Maria "Mary" Anna, married 2nd husband Heinrich "Henry" SCHWANTS. Maria "Mary" died Jan. 23, 1927 and is burried next to Christian "Christ", in Charter Oak, Iowa.
One of their sons is my grandfather, Vern or Verne B. HENNINGS, b. Jan. 14, 1891 or 1892, in Denison, Iowa, d. Sept. 23, 1944. I need some proof of his name and date at birth to find out the true spelling and true birth. Both ways have been writen and on his head stone it is Verne b. 1892, but half the family says it is wrong and half says it is right, but we can not find writen proof of birth. Thank you Sandra (HENNINGS) Swaney email: hsbrbks@hotmail.com

HENNINGS FAMILY

It is the same as a thousand peice puzzle. I am trying to put together my HENNINGS family history book. It is a huge family and I have many many names. But two generations have 10 children and another has 9 children. So the names have not been hard to find, it is trying to put them with their mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers, that I am having problems with. My HENNINGS family came from Germany, most settled in Iowa, some moved to Neb. and others moved to SD. I have many names in Crawford County. I have the most resent family of 10 accounted for. It is my grandfather, Vern B. HENNINGS, he was born in Denison, Iowa Jan. 14, 1892, I can not find a birth record for him. I have tried some border states and still have not come up with any birth information. His parents are father= Christopher B. HENNINGS, and mother= Maria (Reese) HENNINGS. I have been told that Vern is one of 10 children, and Christopher is one of 9 children. So I am finding all these names and not knowing a list of brothers and sisters that goes with what family, I am only ending up with names that I know fit somewhere, but am not finding spots for them. PLEASE, I THANK ANYONE who can get me going with my family history book. I need help with what children belong to what parents, or a list of brothers and sisters? THANK YOU SO MUCH. Sandra my e-mail is:: hsbrbks@hotmail.com

August H. Hennings

I'm looking for other family members of August H. Hennings. August was born June 12, 1864 in Germany. It is said August had a brother Henry, which they farm together a farm in Iowa, or Wisconsin. The story goes that Henry sold the farm without August knowledge, and he was never seen again. August married Altja Jelderks in February 20, 1895. I would like to speak with any descendants of Henry or August.
