Book M. Page 108 Essex Co., NJ

Know all men of these presents that I, David Morris Hennion of the City, County and State of New York, painter, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament:

First: I give to my three children, to wit. George W. Hennion, John W. Hennion and Catharine A. Hennion, the property in Newark, NJ, to be equally divided when the youngest child becomes of age.

Second: I give to my beloved wife, Catharine Hennion the lot of ground in Seventh avenue between 83rd and 84th street in the City of New York, together with all the household furniture, wearing apparel and merchandise in store; also all the property in my possession, including all outstanding debts. The said Catharine Hennion, out of the above property to pay all outstanding debts, the above to be instead of dower.

Third: I order and appoint my brother-in-law, John P. Lacour, as executor in connection with my beloved wife, Catharine Hennion, executrix of this my last will and testament.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal and publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in the presence of the witnesses named below this 6th day of March in the year 1851.

Benj. R. Hill, residence Bloomingdale, Passaic County, NJ
David Sheldon, residence 180 Houston Street.

Probated May 26, 1859.

Note: It would seem that this David would have been the son of John Hennion and Peggy Morris. This will was originally typed by Violet Main Turner, sec'y. to Daniel V. Raymond, who was a NYC lawyer and Hennion researcher. His records indicate that David's wife Catharine was the daughter of John P. J. Mead and Hannah Van Ness. See also pension record for George W. Hennion.
