Surnames: Hennis, Wood
My great, great grandmother was Mary Jane Hennis; she married Joseph Wood in 1872. I am trying to research her line. I have an 1850 census with her father listed only as: L. HENNIS and her mother as: Tabitha. She died in 1928 Washington Co., Al and is buried at the Jones Hill Cemetery in Copeland, Al. However, her death was apparently not reported as the Dept. of Vital Statistics had no record of her death.
I know that the given names "William" and "Calvin" are passed down in that family.
Can anyone help me trace my great grandmother's line?
