olivier,
Here is my e-mail. I figured it would be forwarded to you along with my message.

Creppe is about 10 Km from Spa which is about 38 Km from Liege.
Hanschoulle had several sons. The Henrard branch comes from the name Henra (Henry).
Hurlet comes from the nickname.
Hanschoulle was in 1470.
We have all the birth certificates, notary acts etc to prove all this. This work was not all done by one person , of course, but by several generations.
I believe that the following concerns your Hubert Henrard. If that is the case note the reference to hurlet.
I have in my notes the following:
Hubert henrard born +/- 1850 (not much info on him)
son of Etienne Henrard born 1839
son of André Guillaume Hurlet dit Henrard born 1807
son of Etienne Henrard dit Hurlet legally changed to Etienne Hurlet dit Henrard
So it would seem that this Hubert Henrard is yours than legally your name is Hurlet.
It is not that the hurlet/henrard family just came from Creppe. It seems that they were the founders of Creppe. (It's not big)
If I am right and this is the same Hubert Henrard then prepare yourself for surprises.
Not bad surprises...but surprises anyway.
Just remember without them you wouldn't be here.
They were good people, hard workers...but they also led hard lives. They participated in all the wars and not only did we have Grognards but several received the medaille de St. Helene.
What languages do you speak? This will help me to choose documents to send you.
Seems there is only one thing left to say.
Welcome into the Clan.
Mary
By the way, Olivier. Where are you. In the States? In Canada? In Europe? Sweden?
