I have a Family group record from family search.org that links Carl Peter to Philip Carl his son. <br><br>I also have a copy of the 1881 Census from Scotland that gives the birth place of Philip Carl as (N)assau in Germany. Now making a jump of logic I would say that the record you have for Carl Peter is for the same Carl Peter as I have records of.<br><br>looking at German history Nassau was caught up in the Austro Prussian war of 1866 <br><br><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hesse-Nassau" target="_blank">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hesse-Nassau</a><br><br>It is not a great jump to guess perhaps that a Henrici family group left Germany at this time and moved to NE England, the records show a number of people with that name in the area. It is actually my husband who is the 'bona fide' Henrici through blood but I tried to do some investigating into the source of the name around four years ago as you can see from my original note on this website it's taken until now for all this latest information to appear.
