Dale Dean Henricksen, the son of Jerome (Rummy) and Amelia (Nelsen) Henricksen was born May 21, 1951, in Estherville, Iowa and departed this life suddenly on Thursday, April 28, 2005, at the Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 53 years old.
He received his education in the Ringsted schools graduating from Ringsted High School.
On July 29, 2000, Dale was united in marriage to Debra Whitacre in Estherville. Dale has lived in the Ringsted and Armstrong area all of his life. He was employed with GKN Wheels for 35 years. Dale was a member of the First Christian Church in Estherville and the Iowa National Guard from 1969 to 1976. For hobbies, he enjoyed woodworking, camping and volleyball.
Left to cherish Dale's memory is his wife, Debra of Armstrong; his children, Gordon Henricksen of Herman, Nebraska; Nikki Henricksen and her fiancé, Matthew Johnson of Fairmont, Minnesota; Lonnie Henricksen and his fiancé, Karmen O'Rourke of Curlew; step-children, Melisia and Troy Langford of Swea City; Amanda and Jesse Mitchell of Truman, Minnesota; Stevan and Heidi Luhmann of Fairmont, Minnesota and Alicia and Wes Whitehead of Sherburn, Minnesota; eleven grandchildren; his father, Jerome (Rummy) Henricksen and his wife, Norma of Ringsted; brothers, Jerry Henricksen and his wife, Mary of Armstrong; Kenneth Henricksen and his wife, Rosalyn of Owatonna, Minnesota; mother and father-in-law, Melvin and Beverly Whitacre of Estherville; brother and sister-in-laws, Terry and Diane Whitacre and Lenny Whitacre all of Algona; Monty Whitacre and his fiancé Audrey Grover of Estherville; Jackie and Mark Harris of Graettinger; Wanette Sorenson and her fiancé, Lance Zimmerman of Estherville. He has been preceded in death by his mother, Amelia.
