I am looking for information about Blanche Henriques Kahn who was born in Kingston Jamaica and married Louis Kahn about 1900. They had five children: Jacob Kahn, David Kahn, Violet Kahn, Lecia Pearl Kahn, and Cynthia Kahn. When Louis Kahn died, Blanche and her five children emigrated to New York City around 1927.

He was born 12 Oct 1831 in New York- He died August 27 1894. His father was David Israel Henriques and his mother Esther Nunes Henriques. He married Zitella de La Motta in 1868 in Brooklyn, New York. Their children were Zitella 1869,Rebecca Lindo (1871-1876),Eudora 1874,Lona Lauretta 1876 Charles Theodore 1878. I hope this information will help you.

My GG Grandparents come over from the Azores. Antonio I, Henriques Oct. 2, 1859 to July 10, 1921
Wife Maria I Texeria Mar. 25, 1882 to Aug. 4, 1941
I was told he changed his name to Hendricks because people thought he was in the mob, but I found city Clerks office interpert the name to Hendricks. They settled in New Bedford Massachusette.

Gothilda Henriques from Copenhagen was born 1767 and died 1825. she married in 1797 in Denmark my relative Lazarus Elias Magnus (1770-1851) They had Eduard Magnus who married Rachel Jacobson in 1825 in Mosaiska Gothenburg Sweden. they had gothilda Charlotta in 1837 and she died in 1901.

Henriques from Brazil

Hi, my name is Ana Henriques and I'm from Brazil. I'm doing a little research about my family and etc, but I still haven't found any useful information yet. I'm doing it backwards, going from me up to me ancestors.
Anyway, my whole family came from Europe (Spain, France and Italy to be more specific ) around 1890s.
My spanish ancestor was married to my french ancestor. Their son met my italians ancestors daughter and had my mother.
So, I'm asking if anyone knows anything about a spanish guy with the Henriques or any spanish similars or about an italian guy with the surname Soria.

My mom, Fernanda Henriques was from Br.Guiana. Her father is Manuel Joaquin Henriques. He is from Funchal, Madeira. His mother, is Juliana Augurth Henriques. My grandfather had 2 brothers and 1 sister. Any information will be helpful.

You may want to check out anglicized names of Henriques i.e. Hendricks. My ancestors are also from the Azores and they changed their name when they came into the US to Hendricks. Would you happen to have any information on Sabino Henriques b. July 1853 in Azores m. Marianne E Mattus b. Mar 1850.

Henriques in London/ 1871 loookup

searching for Esther Henrique b 1859 in Bethnal Green London. Married Joseph Miller (hairdresser)c1880.
There are a few Henriques in London at this time, most with some connection to Jamaica. Other than this marriage record, I can find no other reference to Esther. She could possibly be in the 1871 census, if someone could be so kind as to check...?

I want to know is your great grandfather that you have mentioned Frank that was previously known as Francisco.... and was married to a woman named Rosa? did they come from the Azores, and possibly live in Fresno, California in about 1901 or 1902.

Most of the info I have is from other family members... I am lucky that many of them have kept old family records and are willing to share with me. I have run into a road block recently because I can trace my family out of the country. I do not speak Portuguese, and therefore cannot write away for more information.
Internet access makes searching a lot easier, but doesn't cross language barriers.

Looking for Ancestors of Lloyd George Henriques

Lloyd George Henriques, I believe, born in 1916, was the
father of my youngest son, Melvin David Oliphant. Lloyd
passed away in 1994 and at the time was living in Chicago,
Illinois, as far as I know. I think Lloyd was from Jamaica
originally (of black ancestry and may have been Hispanic). I
know very little about him or his family.

If anyone has any information about the Henriques family,
with this information, please contact me soon as possible.
I do not know the name of his wife, but believe he had very
many children.

I am currently in the process of building a family tree
of my family's ancestry and would appreciate as much aid
as possible.

I was never married to Lloyd Henriques.

My great-grandparents were William Rogers Henriques (b. 6-20-1891 CA, d. 1-23-1974 CA) and Mary Marguerite Kidwell (b. 8-28-1897 WA, d. 4-22-1964 CA). William's parents were Frank R. Henriques (b. Flores, Azores d. aft 1914 CA) and Maria Bastiana Joseph (b. 9-29-1861 Flores, Azores d. 12-5-1914 CA).
I think that my gg-grandfather, Frank, changed his name to "Frank" soon after he immigrated from the Azores.
Does anyone have any info??

I am interested in any info on Albert Washington Henriques who was married to Zitella Delamotta Henriques in approx. 1858.
They lived in New York City and then Brooklyn, New York. He was an icebox maker.
they had nine children, Herbert or Albert,
Leilah, Irene, George, Zitella, Rebecca, Eudora, Iona and Charles. Only the first four lived to adulthood. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am also looking for my grandfather who was born in Lisbon Portugal in the 1900s. I started by obtaining my fathers orginal birth certificate with the correct names from the parents. I also started sending letters to people I have found on line with the same last name of Henriques. I have not heard from anyone yet but I am hopefull. To get birth certificates you have to know what state the person was born then fill out the info you have and send it the the vital statics of that state. I got my certificates within 10 Days. Good luck with your search. If I cme across anything of interest for you I will forward it to you!!

My grandfather was born in 1900 in Lisbon, Portugal. he came to the US, but I don't know when or what ship. Here in the US he was a professional dancer. He met my grandmother and they had a son, which is my father Vito Joseph Henriques, May 2 1936, in Appleton Wisconsin. It was said that my grandfather had a wife already and my dad was never to see his father. Any info on any living relatives would be appreciated. I want to know about my grandfather and my family.

I am currently researching Colonel Edward Nathaniel Henriques of the Royal Artillery, and would be very grateful to hear from anyone who may have information and could confirm the few details I have. He was born in Sevenoaks, Kent, UK, on 28 March 1852, probably the son of Amos and Julia Henriques of Jamaica. He served in the Royal Artillery from 1872 to 1903, and died in London on 23 January 1913. I don't know if he was ever married. Thanks for any help, Lloyd Brodrick
