BAGLEY, Iowa - Betty L. Hensley, 72, of Bagley, formerly of New Boston, Ill., died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, at her home in Bagley.

Services will be at the New Boston United Methodist Church. The Rev. Richard A. Bishop will officiate. Burial will be at New Boston Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo, Ill.

Mrs. Hensley was born Jan. 11, 1928, in New Boston, the daughter of William Jennings and Elizabeth McNeil Brown. She graduated from the former New Boston High School.

She was employed at Monmouth Pottery and later as a teacher's aide for the Department of Natural Resources in Springbrook, retiring in 1990.

She enjoyed watching classic movies and cooking shows. She also liked to read.

Survivors include three sons, Ken Abbadusky and his wife, Theresa, of New Boston, Troy Hensley and his wife, Gail, of Hallettiville, Tex., and William Hensley and his wife, Jennifer, of Winterset; three daughters, Debra Hansen and her husband, Duane, and Lesley Jones and her husband, James, all of Bagley, and Tammy Brommel and her husband, Rodney, of Stuart; 17 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Grace Nelson of New Boston.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and three brothers.
