Good day. My name is Bob Trouts. I grew up in PA and NJ and now live in retirement in California, in the USA.
My grandmothers (maiden name) was Anna Roemhild. Ann'a mother's maiden name was Heppe. They were from the towns called Schmalkalden, and Linden in Germany.
Anna immigrated to the US in about 1885-1900 from what limited information we have on her. Anna died in 1919 from the black plague that killed so many in that time period. My father was the last of 8 children that lived and did not get to know his mother as he was only 14 months old when she died.
I am interested in talking to or meeting anyone of our relatives that now live in the US or Germany in an effort to complete our family tree. Up to this point I only have about the first three branches of the tree completed but keep getting hit by nuts falling from the top!! Just kidding. I really would like to complete the tree from my Dad's side of the family. My father died before listing all of his relatives and the only other information we had about him was from the family bible which unfortunately was burned in a house fire.
Thank you in advance for any information or contacting me.
Very respectfully,
Bob Trouts
