I am searching for information on the Heptinstall (and all variations!) family of Franklin and Bedford Counties of VA. My ancestor is William Heptinstall, son of Caleb and Lize Greer Heptinstall, who married Permelia Phelps. Their daughter, Manerva, married John Headen. Am looking for information on the ancestry of Caleb Heptinstall and Lize Greer. ANY information on these families gratefully appreciated!

My family link with Heptinstalls is on my mother's side. I have traced back to my ggrandfather Charles who was born in a small village near Pontefract called Purston Jaglin, I have tried to get his birth cert. but only info on his father is from the marriage cert for a Peter Heptinstall a miner. Peter's parents may have been Wm and Rachel but cannot seem to verify this. Please send any info if you can.

The name is quite common in the north of england.In the usa all my efforts seem to suggest that AL,GA.and VA,
but I am the only one in my neck of the woods.
