my great grandmother fuanna hercules was born in salendango, el salvador, in the late 1800's. fuanna's father vincente hercules migrated from greece,in the mid 1800's. i'm searching for any information in reference to my decendants from greece.

Does anyone have information on a William Hercules who married Elizabeth French. Elizabeth French Hercules was believed to be living "between the Mississippi River and the Illinois River" in Illinois about 1844.

I am looking for any information on my father William James Hercules (bd June 25, 1910: dd Feb. 19, 1973) who married Jessie May Wells. He was born and worked for the railroad in Topeka, Kansas. I am also researching his father John Henry Hercules who married Mary Bell Douglas. It is believed that he died in WWI. He also lived in Topeka Kansas.

I was interested in finding the name Hercules is a form of Harclass. The article was in a file here at ancestry.com. Other variations were Harcules, Harclots, Harkless, Hurkles, Herkles, Hurcules. I have found the ancestors listed under all of them. Hope it helps some of you.

Need parents of Helen "Ellen" HERCULES, born ca 1806/8 at Bothwell, Lanark, Scotland. She married James Braidwood (Broadwood), coal miner, on 12 December 1829 in Abbey Parish, Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland. They had 3 BRAIDWOOD children. Helen was widowed. She married 2nd, on 25 October 1836, Andrew DUNSMORE and had at least two Dunsmore children. Helen was in Thorn, Abbey Parish in 1851 census, and later in Greenock. She came to USA, died in 1878 at Braidwood, Illinois (named for her son James BRAIDWOOD). Margaret HERCULES, believed to be a sister of Helen, married Daniel BARR. who immigrated to Will County, Illinois.
