William Herd married Ida Harmer on 26-12-1914, witnesses were James and Maggie Herd, their son William Herd was born 5-2-1918. They both lived at Longworth Mill Cottages. William was a private in the Kings Liverpool Regiment as an iron worker in the first world war. Ida bought there son William out to NewZealand around 1924. Wiiliam was born at Turton district of Bolton, we would love any information any one can give us.
