MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Nancy 'Ella' Herman, 96, of 2121 Americana, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at the Wapello Nursing and Care Center.

Services will be at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Merle Kirby will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bill Hutton, David Hutton, Josh Harmon, Jon Hutton, Jim Davis and Steve Gronewold. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Hermann was born on Nov. 5, 1904, in Nebraska, the daughter of Alonzo M. and Mary M. Potter Moore. Her first marriage was to Harold D. Bierman on Dec. 24, 1923, in Davenport. He preceded her in death in 1947. Her second marriage was to George H. Hermann in 1954, in Muscatine.

She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Muscatine. She was a seamstress and loved gardening and flowers.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William (Marion) Hutton, of Muscatine; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and one brother, Morton Moore of Denver, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, five brothers, and three sisters.
