I have some people that can help you. if you know any of the exact people you are looking for it would be easy enough for me to get the informaiton that you require. My immediate family on my mom's side are clay's. and we are related to all the hermans in charles city which is where i am.

My family is of the Illinois branch of George's family. My grandfather talked of going to visit the other family in Charles City, Iowa though. Here are George's children as I know them. This list was provided by Lucy (Hermen) English:

My great-grandfather was Charles Edward (Ed). He sometimes lived near and perhaps with Melvin. Melvin and Charles and their wives are buried next to each other in Metropolis, IL.
