Hermes Family in Joliet ILL
I am doing some research as a present for my Brother in Laws 50th birthday. His Father was George Hermes of Joliet Ill, born just before or just after 1900. Georges father was Jacob, I believe he owned a restaurant in Joliet. Jacobs father was Peter Hermes, a farmer near Joliet and a civil war veteran. I have found documents about Pete Hermes in the civil war, but I cannot find any info on the Hermes family from the Joliet area of Illinois. If anyone has any info, my sister and I would be greatly appreciative.
