Searching for information about people with my name Heitling in the US, especially Cincinnati, Ohio, I found a Theresa Heitling-HERMSEN, born 1844 in Germany, died probably March 23, 1920 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was married with Clemens Heitling and had one child: Lizzie (Elisabeth) born 1872 in Ohio. In the death-announcement of Clemens Heitling in 1894 the “child” was married with Joseph Miller, but her own family-name was mentioned SASSE. So it is probable, that she was a child of an earlier marriage of Theresa Heitling-Hermsen with some SASSE.
Is there any Hermsen who knows something about Theresa?
Maybe I can give some help to Hermsen. I live in the Netherlands near Holthees / Boxmeer / Vierlingsbeek, where the mentioned Holland-Hermsen came from and not so far from Nutterden / Donsbruggen / Frasselt, where German Hermsen came from.
