Looking for my real father

I am a 40 year old man. My name is Rodney. I do for my self. I was born in orlando fl 02-25-1970 . My mothers name is carmen stalnaker. I was adopted to the Pickel family in williston fl @ the age of 3. I never knew my real father, just his name. Just never went looking for him. Till now just have to see what he looks like, before I go in life. George Howard Hern if lived in Williston Fl. or Orlando Fl. in the early 1969-1970-1971.

William H. Harris and Elizabeth Hern were my great great grandparents and they were from Howard County Missouri Elizabeth Herns Parents were Allen Hern and Sally Braun. The History my mother told me was that they were Cheokee Indian or part Indian.

Marilyn, Here are a few entries in the Family Bible currently owned and in the possession of Belva Harris. She believes this was her grandfather Jeptha Harris' Bible.

Allen Hern and Sally his wife were married Feb 16, 1826
Milton J. Hern and Sernina Hern were married May 16, 1850
George W. Hern and Synana S. Evinett were married Oct 31, 1850
W.H. Harris and Elizabeth Hern were married July 10, 1851

There is more, mostly births. My sister copied this from the Bible at Belva's house a few years ago. I am also descended from Allen through Elizabeth who married William Harvey Harris, their son John Bolin Harris, his daughter Nancy Elizabeth Harris who married John William Chisham, Jr., his son William Lester "Sam" Chism, my father Lester Dale Chism.

This Nicholas Green Berry Hern (Hearn) was my ggg-grandfather. He did marry a Smith in Crawford Co, GA but I think maybe this was one and the same Rebecca Ann Smith since the dates are one month different. The first record (Jul 1826) had his initials wrong as B.G. and I think when they went back to get it corrected (Aug 1826) to G.B. they re-entered her name as Ann at that point. He is listed in the 1850 Census in Russell Co, AL as Nickolus Hern with Ann and 9 children (the eighth one, Greenberry) was my gg-grandfather, Nicholas Greenberry (Boss) Hearn. I have further info on these if you'd like it.

Searching for ancestors and descendants of William Hern & wife Grace [maiden name believed to be Austin]. Grace was also born in Devonshire about 1820. Their children were Mary Ann, born in Devonshire about 1844, and Charles Henry Hern, born in Devonshire or Cuyahoga County, Ohio, about 1848. Mary Ann married Charles Wilson, born about 1830 in Devonshire. Charles Henry married Jane, maiden name unknown, born about 1854 in Wales. Their children, both born in Ohio, were Elizabeth, born about 1876; and Mary A., born about 1878.

My interest in the Herns is primarily due to their marrying into the Mead family of Howard Co. And we had a minister at our now closed Methodist Church who was Rev. Lawrence Hern, Jr., of that same line.

I'm not sure if this is the right "connection" but my Great Grandmother was Adelia Hern, daughter of Rober J. Hern of MO and Isabel Maria Williams. My Hern was born in Ocate, Moro Co. NM and her parents were married in Ocate, Moro Co. in 1875. I have no idea when Robert Hern came to NM nor do I have the complete list of his children at hand. Does anyone have a Heaton Howard Hern or Catherine Hern? I was told that they where married and lived in Round HIll, VA had three children Ethel, Paul and Marian. His father was from West Virginia. Nicholas Greenberry Hern [an older one] lived in Edgecombe Co., NC with Abraham Green Hern and Dennis Hern [later named Herrin]. I suppose that he was named after the famous governor of Maryland... Nicholas Greenberry.

I am looking for info about the Hern family. My great grandma was Mollie Hern-Palmatory, her father was James M. Hern married to Mariah Elizabeth Mobely, his father was George W. Hern and his father was Allen Hern. I am stuck here, with, Allen. I don't know where to go now. I was told when I was a kid that a Hern married an Indian women. Does anyone have any info on this? BLOOD POISONING FATAL

William Hern of Stow died in the Deaconess hospital, Concord,
Friday morning from blood poisoning. He was 68 years of age. For
the past seven years he has been warden of the town farm in Stow.
About two weeks ago, while cutting wood, he received a gash in
the foot from the axe he was wielding. He thought nothing of the
accident at that time, but later it developed into blood poisoning,
with fatal results. He was well known in town and universally liked.
He is survived by one daughter, Miss Annie, who resided with him
and also one son. The funeral service was conducted Sunday
afternoon by Rev. J. S. Moulton, after which burial took place in
West Acton.

I have a photos of Mr. Hern in Gauley Bridge Fayette Co. WV. Bert Hern was married to my grandaunt Lydia E. Fugett. She died Jul 29, 1913 giving birth. She was born 1895. I think the photo was taken the day of the funeral or shortly after. I'm not sure if the photo is of his father or him. I don't have any info on him. I am tring to research the Hearn surname and just found out that some of the family may have spelled it Hern. My family is from the Mid-Ohio Valley area, in Washington County, Ohio. I know my Hearn family married the surname Francis and have found the Hearn Cemetery in Washington County off of County Road 9 where they are buried but I could not find their marker. I am guessing there is approx 100 markers but about half of them were just marked by a blank stone. I have different generation names and dates if anyone can help. I am not sure if we are related. My husbands grandfather came from mo. The story is there was 2 brothers O Hern that came to america, the O Hern was getting in trouble with the law, so the other brother changed his name to Hern. My husbands grandfather was William Harrison Hern, he was married to Inez Belva Flynn. His parents were George Perry Hern and Bessie Francis Smith . As far as we can figure they were from Mo. I am having a hard time finding the location of my great grandfathers parents. My grandfather was Lwarence Leon Hern, Sr. who was the son of Vernie & Bessie (Poynter) Hern of WV. All obituaries, headstones, newspaper clippings, etc. spell his name many ways: Verna, Vern, Vernie, etc.. His nickname was "Sug". According to a few of the documents, his father was Thompsy Hern but I can find no other information other than his mothers first name begins with the letter E.. There are many siblings of my grandfather living today, but getting the information is not so easy.
