Isaac Heroux /Marguarite Gelinas

I am trying to track this family. Isaac Heroux married Marguarite in 1843 and had three children in St. Barnabe Nord. They were Emelie, Isaac Clement Napoleon, and Docithe, who is my gg. Marguarite dies in 1854 and Isaac marries Adeline Gelinas in 1856 and has more children. So far I've found only Blaise b. 1858, however, the census in 1881 shows Marie Anne and and another Napoleon but both of their ages are shows as 13. I can't find any record of these last three children. Well, I find Blaise born 1858 but nothing further. Docithe married Claudia Houle in 1889 and had several children including my grandfather, Ovila. Docith and Claudia moved to RI then CT where they stayed till they passed. Please let me know if you have any other info. Thanks.

thou we are not cousins (Lorayne wasnot my mother she passed away and Kenneth Heroux remarried: to my mother) I did grow up knowing Lorayne's father William. Who passed away in the early 1970's in winter haven fl. at a place i belive was called Moose haven. I do know it was associated with the fraternal order of the moose. I don't recall when Lorayne passed away but i beleive it would bein the early 1960's unkonown location. After James passed away in 1967 (Naperville Il) the subect of death was not allowed to be spoken of in the house. Richard passed away in Elk Grove Villiage Illinois in 2000. Michael, last I had heard lived in California but I don't know where. Kenneth our dad passed away in july 2005. with him went alot of family tree information that I do not know. All I know is his fathers name was Albert born in Chicago and his (alberts) fathers name was Samuel born in Montreal. I hope some of this infomation is useful to you it is all i know. If you could locate Michael he may know more, I have tried with no success. Oh yes at Richards Funeral I did meet some people last name Duseck (I hope that spelling is correct) from Downers Grove Illinois. Maybe another lead for you. they knew Lorayne and the boys. Sorry can not be more Help. Good Luck!

Great to hear from you! You and I would be "third" cousins, then... Ihave been very interested in putting the pieces together of the Kimont family, as they went from Lithuania to England, then mostly to the USA -except for my grandmother Kazimiera (your grandfather William's sister). She came to Montreal. I have researched the archives in Vilnius and found that the Kimonts were a noble family in Lithuania - I have the documentation. Contact me thru my email for more info,
Joanne

Heroux
Looking for family of my great-great grandfather.

What I know:

Joseph Wheeler was born Fr. Canadian 1862-66. He immigrated to Westborough, MA (thru Burlington, VT) in May 1846.

He is listed in 1850 census as Joseph Heroux. I do not know where and when he married. I would estimate it was between 1846-1853. He married Catherine Kelley (Ireland). His first son William was born in 1853 and William's birth listing is "William Heroux 2/25/1853 son of Joseph Heroux and Catherine Kelly."

They CHANGED their names around 1853-55 to Wheeler.

Joseph *Heroux* Wheeler's death certificate (8/1904) lists his parents as:

Clemont Heroux
Margaret Millat

What I do know:

In August of 1896 Joseph went to Canada to visit his "aged father who was 97 years old"

That would mean his father (? Clemont Heroux) was born abt 1799. So his father (?Clemont) was born 1799 approx and died I would suspect sometime between 1896-1900 (if you believe he lived to 100).

I have no other information about Joseph's Canadian family.

Please help. Thank you Kathi

Looking for help with an Aldora Heroux, who married an Arthur LeMay in Warwick, Arthabaska, and a Helena Heroux, who married a brother of Arthur, a Lucien LeMay, also in Arthabaska. I am having trouble tracing the parents of these two Heroux girls.I would suspect these marriages took place in the 1920s or 30s. Respond to Ray Bussiere, tagabuss@aol.com. All I have is that their parents may have been a Dosithe Heroux and an Amanda (Houle) Heroux.
