I'm researching about HERZ family of Jewish origin emigrated in New York in 1848 with Leopold HERZ and his wife Adelaide FREIDMANN; tehy were parents of politician Cornelius HERZ, involved in '90 of XIX century in scandal of Panama Canal. Joseph HERZ, Cornelius' brother, went in Cook county in 1872, and had descendatns. Now I think there are in Illinois sons of Theodore HERZ (1909-1966) and Florence CAMPBELL.
Virginia HERZ (d.1945) married in Manhattan dr.Joseph Glaser while her sister Mathilda HERZ married italian baritone N.Zardo and became mother of pianist Eric ZARDO. If you have informations or relation with this family write me! Federico
