John Hession b.~1849 (~1852 on 1891 census)

Surnames: Hession, Sharkey
I'm looking for information on my great great great grandfather, John Hession.
I know that he was born in Ireland around 1849 (according to 1911 and 1901 census, but 1891 says ~1852). He married Jane Sharkey in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England, in 1887, and they had five children: John b.~1889, Kathleen Winifred b.~1893, Thomas b.1894, Joseph b.1898 d.1870 (my great great grandfather), and Laurence S J b.1901 d.1978.
I am interested in John Senior's family, as I have no information on them, but I have loads on the Sharkey side.
