MY family is also from Black Forest Germany, and we have Charles, WIlliam, and Hilda Baumgartner, and Gertrude Bender in our tree. I think they settled in Hoboken NJ, when they came over. I don't even have a good date when they immigrated. Let me know if this rings a bell. Vince

My maternal Great-grandfather was Adam HETTRICK, born 22 Sep 1883 in Grove City, Mercer, PA. He had a brother named Charles HETTRICK, born 1891-1893? Their parents were Jacob HETTRICK and Anna Jane Perry.

My great- grandfather was Roman Hettich. All I know is that he was from the Black Forest in Germany. He immigrated to America and married Bertha Benz. I only know that they had one child, my grandmother, Herma Hettick from San Antonio. She died in 1971. If anyone knows anything about this family I would appreciate the information.
