John Hiber (Bab) was my dad's brother. He passed away last year I believe and was the last on my dad's side. We are trying to find out more where the family came from but there seems to be a mystery there. Hope to talk to you more soon at length. Yvonne

what was your mother's name? MY mother seems to know allot about the hebers also. there was ajohn heber that everyone called" bab".

MY NAME IS JULIE MARSHALL PETERSON,my father john, was born feb 18, 1930, to william and cecelia (eischen)marshall.
I am the only child of john.iI am 38 years old and very passionate about my family history.my fathers grandparents were chris marshalland Katherine (bach) marshall. them and william are barried in a Clayton, WIsc. cemetary.

Hi, Thanks for replying to me. I've heard the name of John Marshall also. It seems I remember my mother talking about him. My mother has since passed away and maybe you can fill me in some. We have some of the Hiber family history but it seems not much before they came to this country. Im afraid my computer at home may have crashed. I am at the library right now. I can check on my laptop but it may not be right away. And what was your name? I am Yvonne Hiber Smith and my dad was Michael. (Mike) I am the youngest of 4. i am the daughter of john marshall, who is the son of william marshall & cecelia eischen. my father just told me that some how john & mike are related. I'm guessing it was through the eischen side.

I am related to Hibers in Wisconsin. My dad was Michael Hiber and granfather was John Hiber. Any relation? They were all in Barron County.

Have found out more definite info since last posting. Caspar Haiber, b. 1816, married Katherine Barry, b. abt. 1820, in Monroe County IL in 1848. Son John H. Haiber, b. 1869, married Martha Rash (nee Patterson), b. 1860, in Jefferson County IL in 1877. many alternate spelling of Haiber, such as Heiber, Heber, and Hiber. Any info greatly appreciated.
