I am trying to trace back the Hickle branch that my children woould be interested in. Wayne Hickle was their grandfather. None of them knew his father Park. They have a Bowling Green OH connection. I am the ex wife of Wayne's only son. Any helpin tracing this brnch of the Hickle famiy would be greatly appreciated.

Miner/Teamster in Fayette Co. area. Family tradition also places him in California, Washington Co., Pennsylvania. Lived with son in Filbert, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.

Carl Wilson married one of the three aunts of Ellen Belle Hickle (Fairchance, Fayette County, PA). I'm trying to find the name of Carl's 1st wife. They were married before WWI, divorced, had a child who died. Carl married Anna Cook second--also before WWI. Carl was killed in a mine accident. Anna remarried. Seeking info on Elisha Hickle born in Ohio.Parents were Stephen and Mary Ann Drake Hickle. I believe he married an Elizabeth? and moved to IA. He served in the Civil War in Co. G. 78 Ohio Inf. On the 1895 IA Census,Lucas County,he was 54. He had at least one child, Alonzo, b. abt 1879.

Marriages of Henry HICKLE

My gggg-grandfather was Henry Hickle (descended from Devault Hickle --> Henry -->Henry) who married two different Sarah's.

I'm looking for information regarding Henry's marriages. One Sarah was Sarah REEDY and the other was my gggg-grandmother Sarah MAY. I do know that my Sarah was also married to a WHIPP (or WHIP) and was known to my grandmother as Grandma Whipp which suggests to me that she was using this surname towards the end of her life...possibly after she'd been married and divorced from Henry. A family legend has it that she was the first woman in the state of OH to petition for a divorce. That would be a perk if someone can provide me with that info, also.

Henry and my Sarah had a daughter, Althea Jane, who married Chauncey Sebastian FOUST (of whom I can't find any info other than his birth and death dates.) Thank you for any help you can give.

Alberta Ringer (b. 2-9-1876 in OH) married Albert (Bert) Hickle (b. 10-8-1875). They had five children: Beulah Hardman, Eugene, Lester, Jacob, and Max. Alberta and Bert migrated to CA in mid 1940s from Akron. They had kept my g grandfather, Jacob N. Ringer, several years before his death in 1937.
