Sandi, hope this return finds you, pretty old thread. I'm a Klingenberg decendent from Bakersfield and would love to chat about the K'bergs, most curious about the Hiebert side of the family. My dad had made an attempt at documenting the fam tree and had made an association between you g-gma Elizabeth Hiebert Klingenberg and and my g-gma Sara Hiebert Peters. My email: overdahill2003@yahoo.com
Thanks much! - Monte

Seeking info on Sara (Hiebert) Peters

I’m attempting to find info on my G Grandma Sara Hiebert (B: Berdyansk Russia 1860; D: Mountain Lake, MN 1950; BK #104356) She immigrated to the U.S. in 1894 with her husband Herman Peters (B: 1861 Prangnaw, Russia; D: 1921 Mountain Lake, MN; BK #104355). She remarried in 1936 to a John A. Reimer (BK # 754502).
(1) Does anyone have data that would connect her to other Hieberts in the Mountain Lake area?
(2) Any info on her second husband John A. Reimer? BK # 754502 has no info.
(3) I’ve found another listing for a Johann A. Reimer (B: 1 Dec 1865, Nikolaidorf, Molotschna, South Russia; D: 22 Jan 1952, Mountain Lake, MN; BK #56732). No association with Sara is mentioned but the dates and location would be about right to make Johann a better possibility as husband #2, requires verification.
(4) Have found some comments that indicate Sara Hiebert may have been called Sara Brown (Braun?), did she have a marriage prior to Herman Peters?

Thanks!
Monte

Hello Bonnie. I am sure you will not remember me but my name is Blaine Deacon Takemire. I am your half brother, the twenty-two year old son of Ralph Takemire. I happened upon this message when I googled my last name a few weeks ago and I have been debating on replying to it since. I know that we are years and miles apart and I am sorry If I have intruded on you but I felt the need to contact you. I have such little family and I have always taken comfort in the fact that I have a sibling some where out there. I do not expect you to reply to this(not to say I wouldn't greatly enjoy it). I just wanted to say that I hope you are doing well and that I have thought of you many times through out my life.

I have a Helena Dueck in my family that married a H. Hiebert. Helena was born in the RM of Hanover, Manitoba and her parents immigrated to Canada from Russia in 1875. I was told that Helena had moved to Oregon, but I was never able to find her. Its not uncommon to have the same names in different families. The mennonites had such large families and siblings quite often married into the same family and named their children the same as well. My Helena was born Sept. 11, 1882 and was the daughter of David Dueck & Maria Thiessen. Have you any other info that might tell us if we are dealing with the same Helen Dueck?

Are you still looking for Hiebert families from the Molotschna Co. in S. Russia? My family was from Waldheim, Molotschna Co. Previously from Halbstadt, Molotschna. My Great Grandfather is listed in the Molotschna Historical Atlas under Waldheim in 1912. He lived across the street from Isaak Neufeld. My Grandfather Johann Jakob Hiebert or Huebert was born in 1901. He had two brothers and two sisters. All we know of them is their first names, Jakob, Abraham, Elizabeth, and Agata. Their mother's name was Elizabeth Janzen and their father's name was Jakob Jakob Hiebert. We know of one of the brother's going to the states and was a furniture maker. Which one it was, we have no idea.

Would love to try and connect with anyone from this same family.

Regards,
Sandi
