I am researching the Hilds from Quincy, Illinois. My husband's gggrandfather was George J. Hild, b. abt 1866 in Quincy, Illinois, and died 2 Apr 1943 in Quincy. He married Hulda Schmidt in Quincy about 1889. They had nine children: George W., Harvey J., William G., Helen C., Elsie, Della, Doris L., and (Living).

My husband's ggrandfather was George W. Hild b. abt 1892, Quincy; d. 12 Aug 1956. He was married to Minnie (Unknown) abt. 1912.

The only child I know of at this time is George "Govey" William Hild, born (unknown); d. 1993/92/91. He was married to Dorothy Horn in Quincy date unknown.

"Govey" and "Dottie" Hild had three children:
George "Butch" Thomas Hild who married 1-Judith Carol Koontz in 1958, Quincy and 2-Dorothy (unknown);
Barbara Ann Hild who married Donald Albert Hendrian in Quincy in 1956;
Sherry Hild who married 1-Ron Pickett and 2-Michael Russell.

I also have some information on Helen C. Hild who married Robert John Henry Hintz in 1910. If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate the help.
