Hi Karen! Because the name Hildinger was not a common name back in the 1800's, I am assuming that all the Hildingers in Indiana were related one way or another. My GR/GR/
Grandfather, Wilhelm Casper Hildinger, was born 03 June 1828 in Wiesbaden,Wurtemburg,
Germany.I do not know when he immigrated to the USA,but that can be researched out of Germany and I hope to do that in the near future. In the meantime, your family may be connected to mine. I do not know if Wilhem Casper Hildinger had any siblings, or if his parents came with him from Germany. He and Catherine Miles had the 3 daughters and a son , John Ulysses. If your family came from mine, then John would be the one they came from to carry the Hildinger name. The problem is that the records I have show John had one child, a daughter, named Stella b 1910
d 1922. So this goes back to possible brothers ,cousins, or uncles of my Wilhelm,
unless I can come up with other children that John may have had. Hope there is a connection with us somewhere. Thanks again.
