Hi,
How long has this Hildinger Board been going. Unfortunately, I do my genealogy in streaks -- and sometime I don't check all names for message boards. Rats!! I feel like I am way behind.
I have been working on finding the rest of the Hildinger family that emmigrated from Wurttemberg in the mid 1800's. Our family is from the line of Johann Georg (Carolina Klenk) who came to America in the 1850's - had 10 kids and lived near Ann Arbor, MI. I know that three brothers and a sister came over to the US from that family.
We are hosting the Hildinger researchers from Germany this fall for their first trip to America. Hope to orchestrate a gathering of sorts. Anyone interested -- please contact me.
Also would like info from all of you with your Hildinger branches. I know there were many families of Hildinger/Hitlinger/Hutlinger that started from the same family in Germany.
I am in Oregon now but have family in Michigan and that is where we will gather this fall. Any and all inquiries, help and info is appreciated.
