Hi
Periodically I am still looking for information on my HILEMAN family. I have a Mary Ann HILEMAN born around 1828. Family history has that she was a Native American, but I have not been able to prove. My problem is that the natives in Armstrong county at that time had almost been pushed out/or massacured by the whites, so my query is was she perhaps adopted by a HILEMAN family as some of the German families did do that back then. The only info I have is that her brother (??) brought her to Greene County, PA on a boat and she married a Robert Alexander (aka Alexander) COOK. I have found that this COOK family came from Armstrong county, but that is all I found. If you have any info, I'd really appreciate it. I think I have reached a brick wall with her. Thanks, Patty
