In my Hileman research I have come accross a well defined branch of Hileman who settled around Anna Illinois. Invariably when I went further with these they were usually a member of the Hileman's from North Carolina. This branch apparently did come over from Alsace as several others. There was a famliy that consisted of Christian Heilman/Hileman, and others that came immigrated at different times. You are fortunate if you are a member of the NC branch as there seems to be plenty of info on them. I am a member of the Christian Heilman/Hileman branch from Northhampton PA c 1750.
